The Lemon is an internal newsletter shared with UCLA Luskin faculty and staff. Many of the stories shared in the newsletter will not appear on the UCLA Luskin web site, and are intended to be shared among colleagues. It is a chance to talk about your research, share restaurant and cultural recommendations, share stories about recent travels, share photos, thank a colleague, or anything else that you’re comfortable with your coworkers knowing.

There are no real limitations on what we’ll post, so please send your thoughts to Allison Morris in the Dean’s suite (amorris@luskin.ucla.edu) or come visit while enjoying a cappuccino.

If you’re wondering where the name, “The Lemon” came from, well, much like the Meyer Lemon, which is yellow and rounder than a true lemon, we at the Luskin school strive to be rounder and more yellow than everyone else. OK, that doesn’t make any sense. Hopefully the connection between a Meyer Lemon and our school rings a bell for you the way it did for us when trying to name the blog.

Why “The Lemon”? I’m sure it means something. Is it “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”? Cool name. Just curious.

This newsletter is not a lemon at all! Great job, Allison!
